can't create a game - interface crashes

After login I see a small square in the blue area on top of my screen where I can read "Chess.net for Windows ° [Handle: justagame]" (° means the square). I am able to watch games, to accept challenges and play games, but I can't create a game myself. Each time cnfw254 - yes, I uninstalled the old software and installed cnfw254 after download - crashes saying "Internet Chess Interface has found a problem and must be finished". I tried to use the debug option without success. Restarting the PC doesn't help either.
I use WIN XP Professional. The problem occurred one week ago, before that it appeared sometimes.

Found the solution on my own: it is not enough just do uninstall and reinstall cnfw, you also have to delete all entries in the registry manually (START->execute->type 'regedit') - I looked for 'chess'. After that I reinstalled and had no problems so far.
